Laurel Handfield
Before being a caregiver, wife, mother, or daughter, I am a human with emotions. I’ve lived through seasons of deep anxiety and depression, the kind that quietly takes over your thoughts and makes everyday life feel heavier than it should. I’ve also faced deep emotional challenges within personal relationships that shook my sense of self, safety, and worth. For a long time, I carried those experiences in silence, believing I had to handle everything on my own. Those experiences ultimately led me to become a certified peer & recovery support specialist so I could support others on their healing journey.

What I Hope to Share
I hope to contribute empathy, understanding, and a space where people feel less alone in what they’re carrying. In return, I hope to grow through shared experiences and meaningful connections that remind us we’re all healing in our own way.
What Brought Me to ShareWell
Like many people, I’m simply someone doing my best to build a meaningful life for myself and the people I love. I’ve faced my own challenges, learned a lot along the way, and realized how powerful it can be to feel truly seen and supported. I want to make a difference, no matter how small it may seem, because even small moments of support can change perspective.
