(she/her)
I am a writer. I am a healer. I am a mother. I am a survivor. But I am also human. I live with depression, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts. There are days when my mind becomes a place I don't recognize—a place filled with fear, doubt, and thoughts I wish I could silence. For a long time, I felt ashamed of myself. I questioned my worth. I wondered why healing wasn't easier and why I couldn't simply leave the past behind. But I am learning that my struggles do not make me broken. They make me human. So I write. I write the words I was too afraid to say out loud. I write about the darkness, the fear, the grief, the motherhood, the battles inside my mind, and the pieces of myself I am still learning to love. Writing became more than something I do. It became a way to breathe. A way to process. A way to heal. A way to remind myself that even the darkest chapters are still part of a story—and the story doesn't end there. I am a mother trying to show my children that strength doesn't mean never struggling. Sometimes strength means getting up when your mind tells you to stay down. I am a healer who is still healing. I am a writer who turns pain into words, words into connection, and connection into hope. I am not ashamed of my story anymore. I am still becoming. And maybe that's the most beautiful part of all. My story isn't about being perfect. It's about surviving, healing, and finding my voice—one word at a time. — Shay Weaver of Words

What I Hope to Share
I hope to contribute honesty, compassion, understanding, and a safe space where people feel heard without judgment. As a writer, mother, and someone who is still learning how to heal, I want to use my experiences and my words to remind others that they are not alone. I hope to contribute the kind of support I once needed—the reminder that it is okay to struggle, okay to speak about the things that hurt, and okay to take healing one day at a time. In return, I hope to gain connection, understanding, new perspectives, and the courage to continue growing. I want to learn from other people's stories while also learning more about myself. Most of all, I hope to find community—a place where we can share our stories, lift each other up, and turn the things we once felt ashamed of into sources of strength and hope. I want to give what I have learned, receive what I still need, and grow alongside others—one conversation, one story, and one word at a time.
What Brought Me to ShareWell
I came to ShareWell because I was looking for a place where I could be honest about what I was going through without feeling judged or ashamed. There were times when I felt alone inside my own mind, struggling with depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and the weight of things I had been through. I needed a space where I could talk, listen, and connect with people who understood that healing isn't always a straight line. ShareWell became a place where I realized I didn't have to have all the answers. I could simply show up as myself. Through sharing my story and listening to others share theirs, I began to understand that my experiences could have a purpose. The words I once kept hidden could become a source of connection, comfort, and hope for someone else. I came to ShareWell looking for support. I stayed because I found community. And eventually, I discovered that sometimes the person who needs healing can also become a safe place for someone else to begin healing.
