These days I'm proud to be able to share that I've been an active participant in my mental health recovery journey for almost 10 years now, however it took me about 5 years of attending therapy and taking medications simply because I was "supposed" to....My lived experience in managing anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder has shaped my approach to supporting others. As a Certified Recovery Support Specialist - I'm able to draw from my own story to empower those who are trying to build a self directed life. Recovery IS possible!
